Orbit Earth Expo

Experience the cycles, systems and relationships between the earth, moon, and sun.

Students explore the orbits of the 16ft earth and a 4 ft moon modeling their celestial relationships to each other and the sun.

Phases of the moon

Students experience phenomena such as eclipses, seasonal and lunar cycles, creation of winds, day/night cycles, rotation vs. revolution, comparing the physical characteristics of the earth to the moon, gravity, tilt of the earth, characteristics of the sun, order of the planets and more. Students discover some limitations of the model and see that by solving the limitations, create others such as scale.

Each grade level will explore unique lessons developed to support their grade level TEKS so that every age will have a different TEKS targeted adventure.
